Progress Conference 2024

Overview

We coordinated the first ever Progress Conference with the Roots of Progress Institute over two days at the beautiful Lighthaven campus in Berkeley, CA. The goals of the event were to bring together this intelligent group of thinkers, authors and activists to have engaging discussions around four main themes in the progress studies space. We gave them opportunities for connections to spark and ideas to flourish. We kicked off the event with a VIP dinner at the Institute for speakers and sponsors, and held a book signing with seven authors during the evening reception between the main event days, followed by film screening and live piano sing-along late into the night. Attendees formed spontaneous discussion groups and presented on topics at unconference sessions throughout the homey campus, as well as raved about the quality of participants and flow of the schedule.
