Held at stunning Lighthaven in Berkeley, a space dedicated to hosting events and programs that help people think better and to improve humanity's long-term trajectory, experts from across the globe came together to discuss whole brain emulation. WBE is a potential technology to generate software intelligence that is human-aligned simply by being based directly on human brains. The backdrop of Lighthaven’s campus, complete with gardens, cozy nooks for intimate discussions, and onsite sleeping quarters, created capaciousness to hold the heaviness and complexity of some of the most challenging discussions and questions we as humans are facing right now.
