HER is the world’s largest LGBTQIA2S+ dating & community app. HER was looking to generate new users and create a brand experience through throwing events that would redefine the queer scene and what a queer night looks like post the dating app revolution. They wanted to do away with old stereotypes and create something low key with grimy edge. As apposed to glittery Soho nightclubs, we threw events in steelworks yards, sausage factories and crate facilities. Instead of cheap drinks, we had craft cocktails. Instead of cheesy pop Spotify playlists, we had some of the most interesting and upcoming DJs. It was a rare safe place to be as open as you wanted to be, without feeling observed.
